From Sept to Oct my volume went up 20,000 and I hit platinum totally organically for the first time…And starfish was the big difference. Diamond may actually be in reach this month, which I can’t even believe. I’m incredibly grateful.

I’ve been reflecting on the amazing high of ? and I just had to come and share the piece of the puzzle that totally changed things for me. In Sept I had an AWFUL month – I knew I needed a shift, and after joining one of the STARfish trainings at convention, I decided to join the STARfish University. Two of my leaders joined with me. In Oct they both hit silver totally organically and I hit Platinum organically as well (first time that had happened). At the end of Oct I was about 3800 away from Diamond. With my other 3 legs solid, I spent November focused on that 4th leg using the STARfish principles. We focused on value all the way. No extra gifts, no bonus BOGOs, just the value of natural solutions. Not only did I have more NSK enrollments in Nov than ever before, but everyone is excited to live the lifestyle and tell their friends…And we hit Diamond without any extra deals!! So if you are feeling stuck or like you are relying too much on special deals, you gotta try the STARfish approach. It totally changed my mindset and has taken my team in such a positive direction!!!

I purchased the Being A Starfish book several years ago, and then started “stalking” Neal Robert Anderson I just want to say that this script works! I have been doing the business for almost a year and have always sold HEK and FEK. I was always too nervous or self conscious to share the Natural Solutions kit. I believe that that is the best value but I struggled because of the up front cost. BUT after watching this video I was empowered to speak freely and openly about this kit and I sold my first Natural Solutions kit this weekend! I am celebrating my four year anniversary this month with doTerra. I was a very casual sharer until the end of last year. Today, as a result of your training I sold my FIRST natural solutions kit! I completed the other sales training and look at it as a basic intro to Sales. You’ll learn very basic scripts which are similar to a Cutco presentation (I’ve sat through 2 Cutco presentations and they sounded just like it). Cutco was designed to get College kids in front of their parents’ friends during the summertime.
What I’ve gotten from the Starfish training is so much more. The Starfish approach is more of an advanced professional sales training that starts out very simple. Neal is not only doing doTERRA but he’s also plugged into the company to help shape its future (he’s actually helping with the new Empowered Success program as a sales expert). For what it’s worth, doTERRA actually recommends the Being A Starfish book.
With Starfish training, you’ll learn how to get beyond selling and into the mindset, motivation, leadership, business fundamentals, how to run a business, men’s, women’s and marriage retreats, etc. Kind of like a one stop shop!
For pricing, Starfish is a much better deal. It’s $297/year that includes the Leadership training. Neal has mentioned that typically does corporate training and charges them thousands of dollars. For other training, you pay about $300 for the sales training, then like $500 or $600 for leadership, and then more for various webinars.

Every single person I enroll with natural solutions gets on LRP because at the very least they need LLV every month. And they go through things like shampoo and hand soap, and they want to try the skin care or the laundry detergent – they see the lifestyle rather than it being just about oils. It’s not about cost, it’s about value. When they see the value, they find the funds. Or worst case they go to the NS on a budget option. I’ve barely sold any mini kits in months!

So I just wanted to share an experience I had.
I made a post in my local “mommy” group about a local pediatric urgent care. They were awesome in suggesting natural solutions, which surprised me. I just commented as a mom that uses essential oils and natural solutions, I was very impressed.
A mom commented that she too loves oils. We got into a back and forth oil love fest. She mentioned right away that she uses young living. I never once mentioned doTERRA. I complimented her that it was great to see someone else using oils on their family. She mentioned wanting to learn more. I mentioned I was teaching a natural solutions Facebook Live class tomorrow night because I love education and learning more.
Well, she pm’d me saying her oil supply is low and she wants to talk to me about switching brands (she must have seen on my profile I was doTERRA) We are meeting on Monday!!
I truly keep Neal Robert Anderson’s mantra in my head every day. When your mind is on service, you are never nervous. The Starfish way is changing my business and my life. I already hit premier before the 15 of the month!! Silver is totally in my sights this month because of this mindframe shift. ?

Neal, you’re probably gonna get tired of me saying how grateful I am for the training you’re providing here but it’s like I’ve been ploddng thru the Sahara Desert for so long with a scarce supply of water. I’ve had support and I’ve had training for which I’m truly grateful don’t get me wrong. But alot of it has also been me learning on my own and doing things (like text blitzing or giving away ME books) that just didn’t sit right with me … but what do I know? I did it anyway because this is what was being suggested I do and these folks are where I want to be so for sure I’m gonna do it, right? And it has helped to an extent. But what you speak is the hard core truth of how to sell and be successfull and THIS is what I need to learn. I’ve been parched for such a long time (with periods of quenching along the way – I want to be respectful of what I have been taught). I close my eyes and just listen and soak up what you’re saying. You’re direct, bottom line, cut to the chase and hard core truth. Just my style. You speak my language. It’s a new language and I need to practice ALOT but I’m fully capable of learning this. Learning how to relay VALUE is precisely the missing link. It takes bold confidence for me to say “as a professional courtesy” or to be comfortable with the discomfort of not saying “hey when you enroll you’ll also get this”. But I can certainly learn. Thank you very much. Oh and by the way, I had a conversation with you in my mind earlier this week where I said “with all due respect” haha that’s pretty funny. From now on I’ll just say “bless your heart” but I mean that as a true blessing. Thank you.
